The famous musical will have a fourth performance this Friday

Caguas, Puerto Rico (March 23, 2026) – The Felipe Rodríguez theater and performance hall of Bellas Artes de Caguas (BAC) went back to the 20s with the splendid return of the musical "Chicago" in three sold-out performances last weekend and next Friday, March 27, it will have a fourth date for the public who does not want to miss it.
Produced and directed by Félix José Colón Rolón for Taller Artístico de Caguas (TAC), this famous musical returned to the local stage, after 23 years, with an impeccable staging. Editing, performances, music, dances, costumes, makeup, scenery and lighting harmonized perfectly, offering the audience a production of great artistic quality.
Denise Quiñones as "Velma Kelly" and Didi Romero as "Roxie Hart" take over the space with their dominant presence, natural mischief and extraordinary vocal strength. The live accompaniment of the orchestra conducted by maestro Ángel "Cucco" Peña elevates each interpretation, managing to soften or accentuate each line of the characters.
Marian Pabón is bold and sparkling like "Mama Morton"; Víctor Santiago sustains his stage versatility with a fabulous interpretation of the lawyer "Billy Flynn"; Luis Ponce manages to move as "Amos Hart" and Julián Gilormini is a show in itself as "Mary Sunshine".
"Chicago" is presented completely in Spanish, managing to preserve the nuances in each of the voices and even becomes a great value to connect with the audience, as it allows the handling of some everyday words and phrases of Puerto Ricans.
The visual spectacle by Milton Cordero is as elegant as it is effective when it comes to locating each scene. The dance troupe directed by Danny Lugo, likewise, complements the story with sensuality and grace, in addition to having an active participation assuming roles. In that stage flirtatiousness they contributed the costumes designed by Sanel Rivera and the image created by Bryan Villarini for each character.
This return could not have been more complete. All production values shine individually, while working towards a common goal: To present the audience with a production at the height that a musical theatre play with so much history deserves. Next Friday the curtain rises again for "Chicago". We invite you not to miss it.
Tickets will be on sale from Tuesday, March 24, at 10:00 am, through Ticketera.
