Caguas, Puerto Rico (April 24, 2025) – The night-club format is very familiar to singer Chucho Avellanet, as his earliest performances were in this style alongside musical legend Myrta Silva (1927–1987).

He now returns to this format to present a new show titled “Dispuesto a todo,” with a performance on Sunday, August 3, at 4:00 p.m., at Moneró Café Teatro & Bar in Bellas Artes de Caguas.

This evening promises a nostalgic journey through the popular music hits that this distinguished Mayagüez native has made his own, from his days in the former group Nueva Ola to the present.

“I performed part of this show at Tropicoro, and it was very well received. I want to repeat it because I enjoyed it so much,” the artist commented.

The intimacy of a nightclub allows for audience interaction that rarely occurs in large concert halls, which will be an added attraction for this evening of romance, humor, and excellent music.

“It’s much more enjoyable because the audience is right there; you can interact with them more. There’s more warmth from the crowd. In a theater, people are very far away. I like the nightclub, first because I started there. I began at Tropicoro with Myrta Silva, as shows were in the Golden Age,” the singer recalled.

“Dispuesto a todo” will also be a timely opportunity to celebrate one of the country’s leading voices just days before he turns 84 on August 13.

“I’m very proud to have reached this age. It hasn’t felt like it. I always say I’m the oldest, but not the most elderly,” Avellanet joked.

“I’ve never thought about retiring; there’s no reason to, because my voice is still here, and I want to keep going. I love what I do,” the vocalist emphasized.

Tickets for this intimate show, directed by Maestro Carlos Roig, are available on Ticketera.
